A horrifying plane crash in Florida was captured on the dashboard camera (footage above) of two police officers in Clearwater, Florida. The policemen were in the area to respond to an unrelated call for service in the vicinity.
Footage shows the single-engine Rockwell Commander 112 flying low over the highway in west Florida initially. The accident occurred when the pilot tried to perform an emergency landing after experiencing some engine trouble. Officials said that 61-year-old pilot and his 55-year-old co-passenger took off from Clearwater Air Park earlier that morning and went to Zephyrhills, which is about 50 miles away.
The officers rushed to investigate the crash scene and to help the pilots, both of whom luckily escaped uninjured. Paramedics also arrived at the scene almost immediately.
