A joint team of the Delhi and Punjab police arrested five people on Tuesday following a shootout near Dwarka Mor metro station in the national Capital, ANI reported. No one was injured in the incident.

At least 12 pistols and 100 bullets were recovered from the arrested individuals. “The suspects were wanted by Punjab Police for murder, attempt to murder and carjacking,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (south west) Shibesh Singh told the Hindustan Times.

The operation was initiated by the Punjab Police, who contacted the Delhi Police on Tuesday morning, leading to the shootout between 11 am and 12 noon. Singh said the suspects were hiding on the second floor of a building, which has offices on the ground floor and residential flats above.

“A property dealer had got them a flat on rent. We are investigating his role,” he added.
