Here’s a scene you wouldn’t see very often in Indian cities like Mumbai. Because people in India take such things in their stride.
Commuters on the New York subway were overcome by panic when they spotted a rat on the A train to Far Rockaway. Many jumped up and climbed on their seats or at least lifted their feet off the floor in panic, although some did laugh at this unusual predicament.
The video (above) shows a rat scampering across the train compartment, probably terrified out of its wits, presumably because of the commuters’ screams. The video description says, “It was a fun ride for one station,” adding “the rat was really scared of all these crazy people screaming.”
The rat apparently jumped out at the next station, much to everyone’s relief.
In Delhi, commuters recently shared a ride with a monkey, so a rat on a train is certainly no big deal.
