Madhya Pradesh Food and Civil Supplies Minister Om Prakash Dhurve said that he has not yet understood what the Goods and Services Tax is all about, ANI reported.
In an event held in Umariya district on November 8, the minister refused to speak about the new tax system, and claimed that even chartered accountants and traders are concerned after failing to understand it, reported Hindi daily Nai Duniya.
“In time, we will understand it and when that happens it will feel good,” the minister said, while other Bharatiya Janata Party leaders looked on, Nai Duniya reported.
The Opposition has criticised the government of failing to implement the GST properly.
