Devotees on Saturday celebrated the occasion of Kartik Purnima – a Hindu, Sikh and Jain festival. It is celebrated on a full moon night, on the fifteenth lunar day of the Kartik month in the Hindu calendar. It is also known as the Deva-Diwali or Karthikai Deepam in South India.
