Almost three days after a pipe exploded at a unit of thermal power firm NTPC, killing 32 and injuring more than 100 workers, footage (above) shot minutes after the boiler explosion has emerged.
Filmed on mobile phones inside the NTPC plant in the town of Unchahar in Uttar Pradesh, the clips show clouds of steam rising close to where dozens of workers were stationed, possibly killing or, at least, blinding them instantly. This is followed by flames and thick smoke.
Hundreds of workers were trapped inside the plant, and some of them can be heard shouting and screaming in fear and confusion.
