Indian pistol shooters completed yet another medal sweep in the Commonwealth Shooting Championship in Brisbane on Friday when PN Prakash, Amanpreet Singh and Jitu Rai finished in that order in the 50m Pistol event.
India had bagged all three medals in the 10m Air Pistol event on Wednesday with Shahzar Rizvi taking the gold.
On Friday, it was Jitu Rai who was first off the blocks as he topped the qualifying rounds with a total of 559 while Amanpreet finished third with 543 points and Prakash was a spot behind with 542 points.
But in the Prakash maintained a steady score to top the chart and claim gold with a total of 222.4, getting the better of Amanpreet by merely 0.4 points. Rai managed a score of 201.9 as he struggled for consistency in the elimination rounds to settle for bronze.
