Not if you watch Julian Terry’s short film Whisper (above).

The eeriness is hard to miss as the video takes viewers through a strange room in the dark, a woman whose sleep is interrupted by mysterious events, a dark cupboard and an unforgettable ending. The voice of Amazon’s Alexa service is part of the experience.

Of course, director Terry released his movie to mark Halloween, but maybe it’s still a good idea to unplug your Echo before going to bed.
