Sometimes just studying hard for exams doesn’t seem to be the sole requirement from students. They also need to have some serious running skills and immense sturdiness if they want to achieve success. Or so it appears, from the video above.

The video shows hundreds of students in China’s Henan Province racing each other, in an almost stampede-like situation, and scrambling to get through a door. Why? They were running to get a seat in the University library, to study for the upcoming National Postgraduate Admission Examination, which is to be held from December 24 to 26.

If you look carefully, you can even spot a hapless teacher with a loudspeaker trying to manage the fervent mob, though he eventually loses his way in the horde as well.

Some students are known to wake up as early as 5 am to guarantee themselves a good position in the queue, and spend at least a year studying for the three-day examination. The video was captured at the Huanghuai College in Zhumadian, and is a typical scene around the time of examinations, as another video from four years ago (below) indicates.
