The UK’s Met office decided to take Halloween very seriously this year. British weatherman Alex Deakin went about his forecast with a special twist. He was headless throughout, comfortably holding his head in the crook of his arm as he spoke about the weather in cities and towns with slightly altered names, such as Lerwitch, Southaunton and Liverghoul.
The spoof included temperatures and weather forecasts posted online by the Met office, the UK government’s official meteorological agency. It assured its viewers about the weather, declaring that it would be mostly stable. There were a couple of warnings, though, of thick purple clouds and “blood rain” in certain parts of western Scotland.
To make things spookier, the forecast included strange sound effects like creaking doors. Happy Halloween indeed!
