In a video (above) that has emerged from the town of Anandpur Sahib in Punjab, a group of policemen can be seen drinking, singing and dancing inside the premises of a police station while in uniform. Glasses of liquor can be seen in the hands of the policemen.
Questions are being raised about the inappropriate and unprofessional behaviour of these members of the force, especially since liquor is banned in Anandpur Sahib, which is a pilgrimage site for Sikhs. The Anandpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) has reportedly launched a probe into the matter after the video was brought to his notice. It is not clear why these policemen decided to have their “liquor party” inside the police station.
