A woman from Hardwicke in England nearly choked on a piece of metal in her Starbucks drink while travelling with her husband in London on Wednesday, GloucestershireLive reported.
The incident took place on October 25 when the couple was in London and visited the Starbucks outlet at Tavistock Square near the Russell Square underground station. Her husband, Matt Miller, posted a photo of the metal on Twitter, saying, “@Starbucks when you choke on a piece of metal from your Starbucks drink...”
Miller’s wife had ordered a mango passion fruit frappuccino. “It was my wife that drank it and she pulled the metal out of her throat,” Miller told GloucestershireLive.
Starbucks replied to Miller’s tweet asking for more information for their investigation. A spokesperson for Starbucks said, “We are concerned to hear about this and have begun an investigation to find out what happened.” The spokesperson told the news website that Starbucks was in touch with the customer to apologise.
