Tumhari Sulu’s remixed version of Mr India’s iconic track Hawa Hawai features Vidya Balan shaking a leg with co-stars Mallishka and Neha Dhupia. Titled Hawa Hawai 2.0, the repurposed version does not stray too far from the original. Retaining Kavitha Krishnamurthy’s vocals and Javed Akhtar’s lyrics, the retooled Hawa Hawai adds the customary synthesised beats.
Balan is clad in a saree for the song, her attire markedly different from Sridevi’s glittering gown in the original. But Balan attempts to bring a similar mischievous energy with her expressions and moves.
Directed by Suresh Triveni and produced by T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment, Tumhari Sulu features Balan as a housewife whose life alters when she becomes a radio jockey. The film will be released on November 17.
