Four men shot dead a 30-year-old woman early on Wednesday in New Delhi in front of her husband and their two-year-old son. The incident took place around 4.30 am in Shalimar Bagh
when Priya Mehra was travelling in a car with her husband and son, The Times of India reported.
The men, who were in a different car, overtook Mehra’s vehicle and opened fire at them, Deputy Commissioner of Police Milind Mahadeo Dumbere told IANS. “The man told us his wife was shot at twice,” he added.
The husband, Pankaj Mehra, also told the police that a moneylender was behind the attack. Mehra said he had not yet repaid the sum he had borrowed from the moneylender.
No arrests have been made yet.
