Dinesh Upadhyaya, a science teacher from Mumbai, has accomplished the outlandish feat of setting the world record for holding the most number of lit candles in one’s mouth. In the video above by the Guinness Book of World Records, Upadhyaya can be seen holding 22 lit candles and then shoving all of them into his mouth, where he holds them for almost 20 seconds. If you look closely, you can see the hot melted wax dripping on his face but even that does not deter him.
However, this is not Upadhyaya’s first rodeo. He is known to be somewhat of an expert in “stuffing” and is a multiple-world record holder. He holds the title for the most number of grapes eaten in one minute – 73, if you must know. He also set a world record for catching the most dice (43) with cupped hands while blindfolded.
Who thinks up these categories, though?
