The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation on Monday announced Jayant Rikhye as the chief executive officer of its India operations, Bloomberg reported.

Rikhye, who is now the bank’s International head for the Asia-Pacific region, will replace Stuart Milne, who has been CEO for the past five years.

Rikhye will start on his new role on December 1 and will lead the bank’s efforts to grow in the country. He joined the group in 1989, reported PTI. India was the third-biggest contributor to the bank’s pretax earnings in 2016 after Hong Kong and mainland China, Bloomberg reported.
