Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and China’s Tianjin were jointly ranked first by the Airports Council International for service quality among airports with a footfall of 5-15 million passengers per annum. The Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Srinagar airports were also in the top two in their categories.
Delhi and Mumbai were adjudged joint second among airports with over 40 million passengers a year, while Jaipur and Srinagar airports were first and second in the list of two to five million passengers per annum.
The Delhi and Mumbai airports were also joint second among airports in the Asia-Pacific region.
The service quality survey by ACI showed that the Hyderabad airport improved its service quality score from 4.4 in 2009 to 4.9 in 2016, PTI reported.
