Two Air Force personnel and two militants were killed in an exchange of fire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora on Wednesday. The Air Force Garud personnel were training with the Army.
“Two militants were killed in Hajin area of Bandipora district,” defence ministry spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia had said earlier on Wednesday. The incident occurred when security personnel surrounded Paribal village in Hajin area after intelligence inputs said militants were hiding there, IANS reported.
On October 3, security officials had shot dead three militants who had targeted a Border Security Force Camp in Srinagar. One Border Security Force jawan was also killed in the attack near the Srinagar international airport.
