Danish Police on Saturday said they had found the decapitated head of Swedish journalist Kim Wall, whose headless torso was discovered washed ashore in Copenhagen on August 23, AFP reported. Wall had disappeared in August after Danish inventor Peter Madsen took her out to sea in his homemade submarine.

Copenhagen Police Inspector Jens Moller said her head was found in a bag that also contained two legs. They found her missing clothes in another bag, BBC reported.

On October 3, the public prosecutor in the case relating to Wall’s death told a court in Copenhagen that Madsen had video footage on his computer that showed women being killed by strangulation and decapitation, Reuters reported. Public prosecutor Jakob Buch-Jepsen told the court that DNA tests from Madsen’s face, nails and neck matched Wall’s DNA.

New evidence from an autopsy shows that Wall was stabbed in her rib cage and genitals “around or shortly after her death”, the prosecutor told the court. All the evidence put together add to the case against the Danish inventor, he said.

However, Madsen has denied committing the murder. Appearing in court via a video link, the inventor said the computer the police had searched did not belong to him. “They [the computer systems] are the space laboratory’s tools that have been used by everyone in the laboratory,” he claimed. Madsen said he was working on building a space rocket in his laboratory.
