A leopard entered the Maruti Suzuki plant in Gurugram district’s Manesar on Thursday morning, The Times of India reported.
Forest Department officials and the police have reached the plant and are trying to rescue the animal, reports said. They were monitoring the Closed Circuit Television Cameras to locate the animal, which was first spotted around 4 am.
Only security guards and the transportation employees were present at the time. The morning shift has been stopped till the animal is rescued, the report said, adding that around 2,000 workers were gathered outside the plant as they were told to not enter.
The leopard was last seen near the engine room. More details are awaited.
