Kuldeep Yadav on Thursday became only the third Indian after Chetan Sharma and Kapil Dev to pick up a hat-trick in one-day internationals.
The 22-year-old ran through the Australian lower-order dismissing Matthew Wade, Ashton Agar and Pat Cummins to achieve the feat during the second ODI at the Eden Gardens.
Having conceded 39 runs in 7 overs, Kuldeep was under pressure. But, he snapped the slump in his eighth over as Wade dragged the ball onto the stumps. He then trapped Agar in front of the stumps. Cummins fell on the hat-trick ball failing to read a googly. He could only edge the ball which was neatly plucked by MS Dhoni behind the stumps.
The wicket brought the packed Eden Gardens on its feet and of course, Twitter had a field day.
