RS Prasanna’s Bollywood debut Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification with a U/A certificate, reported the DNA newspaper.
Produced by Aanand L Rai and Eros International and starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, the September 1 release explores the subject of erectile dysfunction. The comedy has been cleared without a single cut. “I am so glad we got this all-clear from the CBFC,” Khurrana told the newspaper. “This just shows that the CBFC is progressive and supports the content of our film, which deals with performance-anxiety among men. When audiences see Shubh Mangal Saavdhan they’ll realise it’s a very important film.”
The film is an official remake of Prasanna’s Tamil film Kalyana Samayal Saadham (2013).
