Weeks after suffering a cyber attack and the inadvertent airing of the episode titled Beyond the Wall, there is further trouble for Game of Thrones producer and international distributor HBO. The group of hackers, which calls itself “Mr Smith”, has threatened to leak the season seven finale. The cyber criminals told Mashable that they “have access to many HBO Platforms already,” and would leak the finale before it airs next Sunday.
The hackers also provided the website with a list of usernames and passwords for social media accounts run by the social network, including its official Twitter account. Last week, a hacking group took control of the fantasy show’s twitter account.
The hackers are demanding a $6.5 million ransom. The network offered the group a bounty payment of $2,50,000, Mashable claimed.
