In a perplexing incident that took place in the Jiangsu province of East China, a scooter carrying a family on a busy road suddenly flipped over when the driver tried to avoid crashing into a car that was attempting a U-turn.
The video, shared by China’s People’s Daily on Facebook, shows the three passengers – two adults and a child, being thrown on the road as the scooter flips. As they pick themselves up, the driver of the scooter tries to set the vehicle upright. Strangely, the scooter suddenly swerves right and takes off, beyond the driver’s control, and ends up crashing into other vehicles. No severe injuries were reported.
