The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Saturday announced a cash reward of Rs 50 lakh to each member of the Women’s Cricket Team for their performance during the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup.
The support staff will also be rewarded with Rs 25 lakh each.
The Mithali Raj-led side are set to face England in the final on Sunday as they look to pick up their first world title.
The final will be held at Lord’s and according to reports is sold out.
India have shown character through their campaign, having reached the final on back of some remarkable performances. India have lost just just two games in the lead up to the final, while their opponents England have faced defeat in just one game so far.
