Indian Grandmaster held leader Teimour Radjabov to a quick draw to move into a joint second position after four rounds in the Geneva FIDE Grand Prix on Sunday.

The 31-year-old, playing black, signed the peace treaty after just 21 moves to take his points tally to 2.5 from a possible 4. This was Harikrishna’s third consecutive draw after beating Alexander Riazantsev in the first round.

Radjabov is half a point clear of Harikrishna and five others with 3 points.

On Monday, in the fifth-round, Harikrishna will play 17th ranked Russian Grandmaster Ian Nepomniachtchi, who is half a point behind the Indian. Speaking about his upcoming round, Harikrishna observed, “Ian is an interesting player and our game in Moscow was quite interesting and I emerged victorious in that one. I am hoping for a stellar game today as well.”
