- IndiGo says it is interested in buying Air India’s overseas business if a demerger is possible: Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha said that a Group of Ministers would take a call on whether there could be demerger of Air India.
- US to sell arms worth $1.42 billion to Taiwan, imposes sanctions on China bank linked to North Korea: The US also used Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Hong Kong to call for more democracy in the autonomous territory.
- No religious angle to the Jharkhand lynching, says Venkaiah Naidu as he condemns the incident: The Union minister asked the police to take action to ensure that similar incidents do not recur.
