If you’ve ever struggled with a relentless error message attack while trying to make your printer work, you know what it feels like. When carpenter John Heisz found himself in a similar situation, he decided to take some very serious, rage-fuelled action to resolve the matter – beyond repair.
He spent a while preparing for the big event, lovingly crafting an impressive-looking mallet out of wood in a cheerful garden with single-minded resolve.
The video (above) details the whole process, building up silently to a violent but bloodless end. By the end of it, his stubborn printer is little more than pulped plastic and a mangled mess of wires. Heisz includes the standard instructions for fixing the machine in the video description and adds, “Or, when that doesn’t work, there’s always the stake maul fix.”
Other than being one of the world’s shortest revenge sagas on Youtube, the video also serves as a useful guide to build a mallet for future reference. Head over to Mike Judge’s Office Space (it made the destruction of office electronics look legendary) for more inspiration. But remember that these videos should probably be rated PG.
