The Football Players Association of India and the Mizoram Football Association have come together to organise a charity match at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Aizawl on July 1.

The proceeds of this match will head to the families and individuals affected by the recent flash floods in the Northeastern state which caused widespread destruction, killing more than 10 people and displacing more than 350 families.

The floods and subsequent landslides were spread across eight districts of Mizoram and caused immeasurable loss to human life and property in and around the capital city, Aizawl.
