If a spate of recent films in Bollywood is anything to go by, the Emergency seems to be in style. Alongside Madhur Bhandarkar’s Indu Sarkar and the unscheduled San Pachattar stands Milan Luthria’s heist thriller Baadshaho. The multi-star cast includes Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jamwal, Sanjay Mishra, Esha Gupta and Illeana D’Cruz, all of whom are chasing a truck of gold.
The September 1 release marks the fourth collaboration between Devgn and Luthria. The teaser hints at an action-heavy adventure packed with explosions, fast cars and various locations. The styling is similar to Luthria’s 1991 debut Kachche Dhaage, and with dialogue by Rajat Arora (Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, The Dirty Picture, expect punchlines along with the punches.
