Difficult rounds for Aditi Ashok and Sharmila Nicollet saw the Indian golfers miss out on the cut at the LPGA ShopRite Classic at the Stockton Seaview Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey.
The cut came at 3-over par as both ladies struggled on Day 2, Aditi shooting a 79 after a promising 1-under par 70 in round 1. Nicollet started the day at 5-over par but carded a 78 to finish at 12-over par.
Aditi, who was tied-28th overnight dropped five strokes from just two holes as she could not manage any birdies in her second round. A double bogey on the 4th and a triple bogey on the 12th dented the Bangalorean’s chances of making her fifth cut on the LPGA Tour this year.
The Olympian, who is 97th on the LPGA’s ranking list has made four cuts in six LPGA events this season, with her other missed cut coming at Kingsmill Championship last month.
Nicollet had two double bogeys and three bogeys to card a 7-over par for the day.
