India put in a complete performance in Edgbaston, thrashing Pakistan by 124 runs in their first match of the 2017 Champions Trophy. India’s top four all scored fifties while Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya left Pakistan panting in a frenzied end to their innings. Pakistan’s chase was never on track as they plodded their way to 164, chasing a target of 289 in 41 overs.
Over on Twitter, there was much phrase for the sheer clinical nature of India’s overall performance.
But Pakistan’s insipid, pathetic performance garnered plenty of hate.
