Stephen Constantine and his men had some good news to look forward to as the Indian men’s football team retained their 100th rank ahead of a crucial 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Kyrgyz Republic.
India remained 100th, joint with Nicaragua and Kazakhstan and there was no change in their 331 ranking points as they did not play any games next month.
The Blue Tigers play a friendly against Nepal before taking on Kyrgyz Republic in Asian Cup qualifying, having won their first match against Myanmar 1-0, narrowly edging them out.
Ahead of the Confederations Cup, Brazil retained their top spot in the rankings, ahead of Argentina who are second and Germany in third position. Chile and Colombia round off the top five, with Poland climbing into the top 10.
