After what seems an eternity, Manchester United will play Champions League next season. They will join Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool who will represent the Premier League in Europe’s elite division. United beat Ajax 2-0 in the Europa League final to secure their spot in Champions League football next season.
Goals from Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan helped the Red Devils secure a 2-0 win over the Dutch side in Stockholm after an emotional and tough week. With the win, United have become the fifth team in European football history to have won all three European trophies. United join Ajax, Chelsea, Juventus and Bayern Munich, who have achieved the feat.
Twitter exploded with celebratory messages along with players dedicating the win to the 22 people who lost their lives in the terror attack in Manchester two days ago.
