Almost everybody in the country seems to be hooked to Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Will the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel and Rahat Kazmi’s Mantostaan make any inroads into the May 5 weekend? Is that a rhetorical question?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 The spacefaring guardians played by Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, and Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket the raccoon return in the sequel. Groot is back too – the junior version. The second part explores the truth about Peter Quill’s lineage. Written and directed by James Gunn, the movie includes new characters, including Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki), Taserface (Chris Sullivan) and Ego (Kurt Russell).

Mantostaan Set against the backdrop of the Partition, Rahat Kazmi’s drama is based on four stories by Saadat Hasan Manto – Khol Do, Thanda Gosht, Aakhri Salute and Assignment. The movie stars Raghuvir Yadav, Sonal Sehgal and Virendra Saxena in the lead roles.
