Rio Olympics bronze medallist Sakshi Malik climbed up to the fifth spot in the women’s 58 kg freestyle category in the latest world rankings released by United World Wrestling on Monday.
In the men’s freestyle category, Sandeep Tomar also broke into the top-10, reaching the seventh position in the men’s 57 kg freestyle category. In Malik’s weight category, Kaori Icho of Japan heads the points table.
Georgia’s Vladimir Khinchegashvili, who has been an integral part of the Pro Wrestling League, tops the chart in the men’s 57 kg category. Malik and Tomar are currently preparing for the Asian Championships, scheduled to be held from May 10 to 14 in New Delhi.
