Delhi Daredevils on Thursday signed Australian pace bowler Ben Hilfenhaus as a replacement for JP Duminy. The Royal Challengers Bangalore also signed Kerala wicket-keeper Vishnu Vinod to replace the injured KL Rahul.
The 34-year-old Ben Hilfenhaus will add to Delhi’s pace stocks. He has previously played for the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Hilfenhaus will replace South Africa’s JP Duminy who pulled out before the tournament citing personal reasons.
The other announcement of the day was Kerala’s wicket-keeper Vishnu Vinod being drafted in as a replacement for KL Rahul by Royal Challengers Bangalore. The 23-year-old Kerala player smashed 14 sixes in the Inter-State Twenty20 2016-17 tournament. He will replace KL Rahul who will miss the entire tournament due to a shoulder injury.
