Indian boxer Manoj Kumar progressed to the quarter-finals at the Thailand International Boxing Tournament with a win over Vietnam’s Huynh Ngoc Vien in Bankok on Tuesday, reported PTI.
Along with Kumar, Rohit Tokas and K Shyam Kumar also advanced to the quarters in the 64 kg and 49 kg categories with wins over Muhammed Demirkaya and Thani Narinram.
However, Vikas Krishnan and Shiva Thapa were eliminated in the 75 kg and 60 kg categories Alzhanov Yerik and Sonchay Wongsuwan, respectively. L Devendro Singh also exited in the 52 kg category after losing to Zaldivar Santisteba while in the bantamweight category Mohammed Hussamuddin was defeated by Fernandez Mario.
