The Cleveland Cavaliers registered a thrilling 135-130 win over the Indiana Pacers in double-overtime, guided by MVP LeBron James once again.

James finished with 41 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists for his 11th triple-double of the season and the 53rd of his career. He also scored a crucial three-pointer with a minute remaining in double OT to seal the win.

Pacers’ Paul George topped the charts with 43 points including 19 in the two periods of overtime, with nine rebounds and nine assists.

The Cavs moved to 49-27, narrowly behind the Boston Celtics, who are 50-27. The Pacers fell to 37-40, tied on eighth place with the Miami Heat.

Westbrook on verge of record but Thunder go down

Russell Westbrook put in another dominant performance even as Oklahoma City Thunder suffered a 113-101 home loss against the Charlotte Hornets.

Westbrook scored 40 points, with 13 rebounds and 10 assists, notching his 40th triple-double. He is now one triple-double away from tying Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson’s record, set back in 1961-62 for the Cincinnati Royals.

However, the performance didn’t translate to a win and Oklahoma City are now sixth place in the Western Conference standings at 43-33.

Curry powers Warriors

Stephen Curry scored 42 points as the Golden State Warriors thrashed the Washington Wizards 139-115. Curry shot 68.2% overall while Klay Thompson added 23 points trounce the Wizards.

The Warriors now moved to within three wins of their best record in the league, improving to 63-14.
