Evin Lewis smashed a fine knock of 91 off 51 balls as the West Indies thumped Pakistan by seven wickets in the third T20 International at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad on Saturday.
Chasing Pakistan’s total of 137/8, Lewis led the attack with devastating knock that included nine sixes and five boundaries.
Lewis had scored a hundred against India in Fort Lauderdale last August.
Marlon Samuels helped him add 56 runs for the second wicket. He added another 76 runs with debutant Jason Mohammed (17*) for the third-wicket.
The win helped West Indies keep the series alive with Pakistan leading 2-1 with one game to go.
Earlier, Pakistan’s batting order failed to build on Kamran Akmal (48) and Babar Azam’s (43) initial push. A disciplined West Indies bowling broke the Pakistan batting line-up.
Brief scores
- Pakistan 137/8 (Kamran Akmal 48, Babar Azam 43; Samuel Badree 2/22) lost to West Indies 138/3 (Evin Lewis 91) by seven wickets.
