Three Kings XI Punjab matches scheduled to be played at Indore’s Holkar Stadium have come under a cloud after the office of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association was on Thursday sealed for non-payment of taxes ahead of the Indian Premier League, Hindustan Times reported.
The Holkar Stadium, which is managed by the MPCA, is scheduled to host Kings XI Punjab’s matches against Rising Pune Supergiants on April 8, Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 10 and Mumbai Indians on April 20.
According to the report, two cabins of the MPCA office were sealed by the Indore Municipal Corporation, along with two of the eight gates of the stadium, as the state association had failed to pay property taxes amounting to Rs 29 lakh.
This is also likely to impact preparations for the IPL games, the report said.
