Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger remained ambivalent about his future at the club, stating it was a subject that was “not sorted completely” on Thursday in a press conference ahead of Arsenal’s match against Manchester City on Sunday.
“Not today, but I am very clear in my mind. It is a subject that is not sorted completely,” said the veteran French manager, when questioned on his future. “Do I stay two months or two years? My commitment will be exactly the same.”
After Arsenal had crashed to a 1-3 loss to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, the Gunners’ 67-year-old manager had said, “I know what I will do with my future, you will soon know.”
Calls for Wenger to step down have gathered momentum in light of the club’s recent poor form. They are currently sixth on the Premier League table and have been eliminated from the Champions League following a humiliating 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich.
