Promising Indian men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty clinched the USD 20,000 Vietnam Open International challenger after defeating Thai pair of Trawut Potieng and Nanthakam Yordphaisong in a thrilling final, PTI reported.
The sixth seeded Indian pair of Satwik and Chirag notched up a 17-21, 21-9, 21-15 win over fifth seeds Potieng and Yordphaisong in a summit clash that lasted 50 minutes at Honoi on Sunday.
It was their maiden title this season, while fifth victory overall. They had won the Mauritius International Series, the India International Series, the India International Challenge and the Bangladesh International Challenge last season.
