American rapper Wiz Khalifa has kicked up a controversy by visiting the grave of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, reported BBC. Khalifa had later posted a photo, which showed flowers and a marijuana joint on Escobar’s grave in Medellin. The 29-year-old rapper was in the city for a concert on Friday.
Medellin Mayor Federico Gutierrez said Wiz Khalifa’s actions amounted to “advocating crime” and he should apologise for it. He said that instead of visiting the grave of the notorious criminal, Khalifa should have brought flowers for those killed by Escobar. “It shows that this guy has never had to suffer from the violence inflicted by these drug traffickers,” he said.
