Spanish giants Real Madrid are considering a bid for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois next season, reported The Guardian on Thursday.
According to the report, Real are ready to sell Álvaro Morata and James Rodríguez in exchange for having Hazard on board with them.
However, Courtois has previously said that he is happy at Stamford Bridge. “I don’t see myself at Real Madrid,” he said, according to Guardian. “I see myself at Chelsea, the club that six years ago saw me playing in Belgium and gave me the opportunity to sign for them. We will see at the end of the season if they offer me something. For the time being, there has not been an offer. I’m happy in London and I’m delighted with the success we are having this season.”
Despite the presence of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, Real are looking to make the move as preparation for a post-Ronaldo era. Hazard currently has three years left on his contract at Chelsea.
The Spanish giants are also looking for a replacement for Keylor Navas and have thus turned their attention on Courtois.
