Rohit Sharma and Kedar Jadhav have been ruled out of the upcoming Deodhar Trophy after suffering injuries, Board of Control for Cricket in India informed.
The release added that Sharma suffered a minor knee injury and has been advised rest by the BCCI medical team while Jadhav has been rested due to stomach related ailment.
The All India Senior Selection Committee named Maharashtra’s Ruturaj Gaikwad and Hyderabad’s CV Milind as their replacements.
Gaikwad will represent India ‘Blue’ while Milind has been named in India ‘Red’. Bengal’s Sreevats Goswami, who impressed in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare trophy, has been added to the India ‘Red’ team.
Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh will now lead India ‘Blue’. The tournament will be played in Visakhapatnam between March 25 and 29.
