India captain Virat Kohli hinted on Monday that fast bowler Mohammed Shami could possibly feature in the last Test against Australia in Dharamsala, reported PTI. Shami, who was out of the squad owing to injury, took 4/26 for Bengal in the Vijay Hazare final against Tamil Nadu on Monday on his comeback.
Kohli said that he had spoken to the selectors and wanted Shami to get some match practice before the final Test of the four-match series which begins on Saturday. “We sent him to play, wanted to give him match practice. I’ve not spoken to selectors, but all kinds of possibility approaching the next Test,” said Kohli.
Bengal were beaten by 37 runs in the final by Tamil Nadu.
