Barcelona beat 10-man Valencia 4-2 at Nou Camp on Sunday. With the win, Barcelona moved two points behind table toppers Real Madrid, who are on 65 points, with a game in hand.
Eliaquim Mangala drew first blood when he put Valencia in front with a brilliant header. However, Luis Suarez found the equaliser in the 35th minute to make it 1-1. At the end of the first half, Mangala was sent off for committing a foul that saw him see a red card. Lionel Messi slotted the second goal from the penalty spot to make it 2-1. Valencia were back on level terms as Munir El Haddadi scored a minute later.
Messi scored his second goal of the night immediately at the start of the second-half. Andre Gomes made it four in the 89th minute as Barcelona registered a brilliant 4-2 win. Barcelona had to win if they were to be title contenders. They were beaten 2-1at Deportivo last weekend and had to win this week.
