India’s Lakshya Sen finished with the silver medal at the German Junior Open 2017 in Berlin on Sunday after losing 21-19, 11-21, 18-21 to Chiao Hao Lee in the final.
In a closely-contested 54 minute, the Junior World No 1 Sen won a thrilling first game 21-19 but the second-ranked Lee came roaring back in the second game to win 21-11. The third game was a tighter affair but it was Lee who ultimately prevailed 21-18.
The 15-year-old Sen became the junior No. 1 in February, after clinching the Senior India International Series Badminton Tournament and the All India Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament at Itanagar.
