Arsenal finally got their act together as they thrashed non-league side Lincoln City 5-0 to enter the semi-final of the FA Cup at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Arsenal were taking the pitch after a humiliating 5-1 loss by Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
With a point to prove, Arsenal scored the first just before the first-half ended with Theo Walcott slotting one home. As the second half began, Olivier Giroud doubled the lead and five minutes later, Lincoln’s Luke Waterfall made it 3-0 with an own goal almost ensuring their fine run in the tournament. However, soon enough, Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey scored within a gap of three minutes to complete the 5-0 rout.
